Just Because: Manu Bennett

ADS

Ok all you FH blog readers...

There are thousands of you who check in each day and I really should not forgive you... Usually I depend on readers to e-mail me about hunks to keep an eye on and why is it no one let me know about actor Manu Bennett and his ummm part in Spartacus?

Soooo...fill me in, worth a look? (yeah I know from the caps yes, but any quality, spill?)

and Just Because... The Blind Lieutenant

ADS
Lachlan Nieboer
Lieutenant Edward Courtenay, Downton Abbey

Like the first episode of the first season, in the episode one of the second season Downton Abbey again introduced a character I was instantly drawn to. In the first season, the show quickly had us lusting over Kemal Pamuk, (Theo James) only to quickly kill him. Season two began with the introduction of Lieutenant Edward Courtenay who I, along with Thomas and I am sure, many of you lusted over. Sadly again, the show chose to off him prior to the closing credits.

One of the things I love about Downton Abbey is that story moves quickly and characters go through changes in each episode. That being said, Thomas's infatuation with the blind soldier would have made a wonderful story to have been able to follow for the course of the season. Although Lieutenant Courtenay is gone, my love of actor Lachlan Nieboer has only just begun!

Just Because: For Close to 3 Decades

ADS

I have been crushing over Eric Close since I was in high school and first saw him as part of the Walker clan on Santa Barbara. When I recently saw him as Jessica Lange's ill fated (everyone around Constance is doomed) husband Hugo on American Horror Story my crush was reignited.

Santa Barbara (1992)

Close is one of those quiet actors, does not get a huge amount of press, seems respected by his peers, a family man who although has not really had that huge showy and attention seeking part, has worked consistently since he first broke into the business. Close has also racked up a huge fan base and producers know they will follow him in what ever project he chooses to appear in.

December has been a pretty crazy month and I my DVR was forced into overdrive to record everything I was missing. Began trying to watch some of it the last couple of nights and have enjoyed catching up with some of my favorites.

Chord Overstreet:

I never doubted Chord would return to Glee, not sure he ever actually left. Looking forward to the Grease Tribute on the January 17th airing.

Survivor:
Ozzy

Ozzy is arrogant as hell but there is a raw sexuality exuding from him that is difficult to ignore. Wish he had won, his physical domination of the game made him one to root for.

Albert

Cannot forget Albert!

Steve Jones:

Fans and critics are bashing poor Steve Jones but he was one of my favorite parts of The X Factor. The show is a manipulative smorgasbord of tacky, tasteless and over production. Steve is not only hot, he seemed to really feel for the singers. I loved him shutting down the judges endless rants to keep the show moving. I really hope he returns.

Unlikely Places: Josh Cooke

ADS

Sometimes you discover a hunk in the most unlikely of places. Actor Josh Cooke has been everywhere the last few years. Television shows like Better With You, Committed, Dollhouse, Without A Trace & Scrubs. Movies such as I Love You Man, Young People Fucking & Bachelor Party 2. Josh is also appearing on the current season of Dexter which I have not watched yet.

Sadly most of the projects above are not ones I have watched, or if I did paid little attention to. But, last week as I am scrolling to find something to watch I found Josh's beautiful face in a Snowglobe. The Christmas movie, starring the oh so hot Christina Milian, was not exactly must see TV but Josh's appearance made it worth a look.
